Founded in 1975, les Industries Cirtech—now known as the Groupe Cirtech—was born out of a passion for innovation in the field of roofing. From the very beginning, the company specialized in waterproofing systems, starting out with the installation of liquid membranes, a cutting-edge technology at the time.

In the late 1970s, Groupe Cirtech took another decisive step forward in its development by introducing the installation of PVC roofing membranes. One of the first systems installed was the Trocal membrane, marking a major technological shift for the company.

This strategic decision allowed Groupe Cirtech to position itself among the pioneers in Quebec in the use of thermoplastic membranes, known for their durability, weather resistance, and energy efficiency.

Throughout the 1990s and 2000s, the company experienced steady growth and expanded its scope of expertise. It completed major projects in the commercial, industrial, and institutional sectors, solidifying its reputation as a trusted contractor. Among its notable achievements are the installation of a 275,000-square-foot green PVC membrane on the fixed roof of the Montréal Olympic Stadium, the Montréal Heart Institute, the Palais des Congrès (green roof), IKEA Beauharnois (1 million sq. ft.), Némaska Lithium, as well as the roof renovation of Saint-Jean-Baptiste-de-Nicolet Cathedral. This last project earned the company the 2023 Roofing Canada Award, an accolade recognizing the excellence of the work performed, given the exceptional complexity of the project. These projects demonstrate the know-how and high level of expertise of Groupe Cirtech, which also acts as a general contractor by collaborating with experienced subcontractors.

Remaining true to its family roots, Groupe Cirtech has continued to evolve over the decades. The company, which remains family-owned and operated, combines tradition and innovation to meet the demands of today’s markets.

Today, Groupe Cirtech offers a full range of services: roof repair and construction, PVC membrane installation, green roofs, maintenance, inspection, snow removal, and sheet metal work. Its systems come with warranties of up to 30 years, and the company continues to serve clients throughout Québec.
